Not a special year from me, probably not for many mylotters. Doesn't really make a great discussion, yet I remember a song I very proud of because a friend wrote it.
I don't know him in person, I actually met him online via a song writing resource site but his music totally rocked. (well his band)
I'd like to see if any mylotters feel free to share something regarding this year, because I'm slightly in a overwhelming mood.
Does it mean anything to you, good year or not?
~Joey
P.s The song has a line which goes "I won't depend on you for anything" the song was written about the day his parents split up and the fact he wanted the day before to last forever. (finishing with) I can't depend of you for anything. meaning he felt let down =)
Something I thought I'd share.

i can\'t think of anything special happening in 1984. I know there was a great classic book called 1984. It was a non memorable year for me. My son was 8 years old and that is about it.

Ah yes,1984.I watched the first MTV video awards where Madonna rolled around on stage singing 'Like a Virgin' in a wedding dress.Tina Turner rocked 'What's love got to do with it?' in red spike heels and equally spiked wig.Prince won best video for 'When Doves Cry' from the movie Purple Rain.Oh yeah and I had my beautiful youngest son,Jerry.;-)

Well i can tell you that 1984 was a special year for me. That was the year that as a child i returned back to Israel alone, after being in the USA for three years.
When my parents took me to the us, They did not really talk to me about it, and i said goodbye to my friends but as a little child, i did not know that we are going for such a long time and i was not really ready for it.
I did had a great stay at the us, but because how tings were done, i did miss my family and friend and the Israeli mentality, and was counting the days till I'll get back to my country.
So in 1984, My parents said we are all going back to Israel, but i saw they were talking about taking a flight to London and staying there for a while, i could not tell them what to do because i was about 12 years of age, and that was my father's job. So i decided that i am going back to Israel without them. We talked about it, and in 1984 i flew my first flight along from the us to Israel, it was the year were i met my family again and my friends. A very special year for me.
