have you ever swimming in the river ?

When I was a child, we go to the river and wade and swim and catch fishes. My father was an expert in catching fishes and he could even catch fishes with his bare hands.

lol.... I could easily have been mistaken for a river otter for about 10 years of my youth! I grew up in New Jersey, USA, and the most dangerous thing we had to fear in our local river was the occasional snake, no alligators or pirhanas or anything. Starting in late April, we'd be at the river every day after school, playing and planning the summer. By mid-May, the water was just barely warm enough to swim a little. Once school let out, we'd be at the river by 9 am and usually stayed until 6 or 7 pm. Boy, those were the days! Nowadays, we go up to the Delaware Water Gap for river fun. The Delaware RIver is just too dirty down where I live to do anything but boat on it. You can't even eat the fish anymore, or you have to eat only 4 ouces per year. It is sad!

I grew up in the city although in the province and much as I would like also to go to the river, it was impractical. Besides, rivers are polluted and so it's not safe to swim in the river. But in the Holy Bible, the leprous captain did not like to dip himself in the Jordan River because it was dirty but the prophet told him to dip himself 7 times so that he would be healed and so he followed and he was healed by that which he called dirty.

yes i ever do that when i was a child, but now i don't do it again. when i was a child i live near in a river, not river actually i can say it near sea, in a beach. but now i am not stay there again so i never swim there again

I don't like swimming on the river, because in Indonesia is very dirty and not safe enough

The river, the lake, the sea, swimming pool. I all have swim. have hadthe different feeling. to be unusual beneficially. certainly must gotogether with own body with the partner. may mutually help!

Ihave swam in rivers, lakes, ocean and swimming pools. Why would you say they are not safe? Curious as to how you would think that. I have never had any problems with swimming in them. Not gotten sick doing so Is cause of the fish that may be swimming in there? Wendy
