As to what i have observed and in my own experience, today's teens need to have cellphones. It is easier for parents to keep in touch with their teens through cellphones. Yes, it is true that there are negative effects, but we should learn how to handle them, and be responsible enough with our actions.

We had a debate about teens owning a cellphone when I was in High School. I was in the side of those who agrees. Yes it has it's pros and cons. Everything has its pros and cons. But nowadays communications is really important. Cellphones are used by teens to make a call to their nanny to remind them that she left her purse and if there's any possible way she can get it. Teens also use their so that their parents can reach them and have an idea where they are. You see there are many uses of cellphones. We just have to be responsible in using those.

I think ya , as it is good source of communication, through which you can remain intouch with your family, how ever maximum of our young generation are misusing the mobile facility as they spend a lot of money on it, while talking to there boy friend or girl friend, so instead of spending money on mobile phones like this is just wastage of money and also time,

well i really think its not even just for the teens. cell phones have already been a part of peoples lives. whether you be the working class or the students. its a necessity for me not a luxury.
