need some help please with age

ok me and hubby network through a hub here at the house and we love playing age with each other without having to get online. we use to do it all the time but for some reason we cant get it to let us play with each other unless we are online. we cant remember how we use to do it. if we try to connect through online and just play each other on network we losing internet connection and lose the game. we are on dail up. can anyone tell me how to do this. like i said we use to do it all the time and it has been awhile cause we use to have dsl but we live in the sticks now. please any ideas,

Try making both of your computer's workgroup name the same. (how? go to help and support) Make sure your hub works and both of your computer has no viruses and spywares.

i can say for sure we have no virus on either machine. i know the hub works cause we can both get online. i dont know what its deal is we hve even went through and put his ip address in mine so that i could try and find him taht way and it didnt work lol.

You need to launch the game on one computer, then take out the disk and launch it on the other.
Once you launch the game first person selects multiplayer and select the Local LAN You can then create the game.
the second person also select multiplayer and LAN and you should see the first persons game.
That should work for you if you are using a router that assigns IP addresses and a cat5 connection.
