Dose anyone here drive a mini cooper? I bought one in 2003 and I love the car. As the car is getting older I have found out whatI get for the 40 mpg. I have started fixing the car and have found that the headlight cost $150.00 and $1200.00 for tires. Has anyone else had this problem

Expensive yes. But at least you can make up for a little of the cost on the gas you save. Highway mile got to be great and how often do you really need to get a tune up or an oil change. Tire cost sucks. Sorry to hear

the price is not high until you get to the point that things start to break and then it is the price you have to pay for trying to save the ozone

Good to know. My wife and I just went today to look at the Mini and to do a test drive. We really liked the car and think we may buy one, but you do not think about the replacement parts cost when you are looking to buy.
It is nice to hear that you love the car, but I am disapointed to hear about the high cost to replacing the parts. It's hard to believe the tires cost that much!

I have a cooper S. I have bigger tires and that is why they are so much. the other parts are the epensive parts. I have had some damage to the car. the damage wa expensive but it is the other parts that you will find that you wil have to sit down for them to tell you number. you will love the car but be ready ot own a sports car. that comes with the climeing down in the car and the hard seats

Why would anyone be so stupid to buy one of those little cars that can fit in the truck of any average sized car. Those things are so small that someone is likely to back into you in the Walmart parking lot because they didn't see it... The smart thing is to borrow your cousins Mini Cooper and jam around... 'cause they are a lot of fun.

i have an 06 that just turned one this week and i absolutely adore it. replacement parts are indeed expensive, and i am absolutely dreading getting tyres, but i think as far as things like actual mechanics or body parts go, in the long run as far as value goes it is well well worth it. other things like wheels or audio enhancements are ridiculous though. i can't find a winshield sun deflector for less than $50- insane!!
