While people who do not use computers seem to get by today it has become almost as important to us as our automobile.
Most all business's have a web site now and it they don't they are loosing out. The Internet has had a huge impact on most all our lives. WE have come to think that if we have a question about anything we can find the answer. And more and more sites like MyLot, Yahoo Answers and the many, many chat rooms have put more an more people on line almost all the time.
This can not be a good thing. For we come to the point that if we are not on we are thinking about being on and what other parts of our lives are suffering for it?
Computers have been a very important part of business sense the 1960's. As technology increased capability they rely on it even more so. It is now so intertwined it would be impossible to ever consider not using them.
I don't think it is any longer a question of relying on them more or less. It has come to a point we have no choice. Not as an individual necessarily but as a society. Try to find a company of any size that does not have a dot com. And when was the last time you wanted to purchase something big that you didn't use the internet for research first?

I disagree with both of them. I see computers as a tool to use to make some tasks more efficient. I think there is a need to be aware that it is possible to rely or depend on computers too much. I don't feel that I do that. As I said before I see computers as a tool that allows us to do things that we could not do before because it was too time consuming. I would also be careful about relying on them too much.
