I am one of those people who indulges in self-pity especially when no one seems to understand you. Come on, I think people do it subconciously without realising that what they are doing is self-pity. Is there anything wrong with it? My sis said that I am pathetic. But seriously, I don't think it is. To me is like self expression. What do you think my friends?

This does not in any way make you pathetic , this makes you human .
We all do this when things don't work out the way we had planned or when we were hoping for something and don't recieve it .
Some people are worse then others but this doens't mean anything other then the fact that some people are able to handle things better then others . Just because one person can't handle a situation as well as someone else does not make one better then another as this person would be able to do something else better as in life we are all different and have different ways of dealing with different things and coping with situations that don't work out as well as expected .
It would be better to endulge in a bit of self pity then to hold it all in and then take it all out in anger on someone for no reason because they were not able to handle the way they felt .

Feeling sorry for yourself is almost the same as being selfish. I'll admit sometimes I do feel sorry for myself, but we all do it. Now as for indulging in it, no, I don't like feeling self pity. I'd rather accept than feel sorry for myself.
