If I have a insomnia I drink one glass of milk, and it works but it depends to a person, because my friend here has an insomnia and I suggest to drink a one glass of milk but it doesn't work.

Have a warm cup of chamomile tea and take a melatonin (1mg) and then read. It is natural and can't hurt you.

i am an insomniac and can rarely sleep before 12 on any day of the week and on some occasions i cant get to sleep until after 5-6 in the morning after i have gone to bed at 10 to go to sleep i normally have a cup of normal tea before i go to bed because even tho it has caffien i find it still makes me fell relaxed.
if you really cannot sleep then you should go to a health food shop and get valerium root tea. which i was told about bye other people i know who have insomnia.

I don’t think I’ve ever had insomnia because for it to be considered insomnia, you cannot sleep for several days. I only have problem sleeping for one night a week. I just usually read or surf the net but when it’s already like 2am and I still can’t sleep and I have to wake up at 6am, I usually have to force myself to sleep. I just lie in bed and close my eyes.

M_5ugar, my friend.....
I am sure that your insomnia is being brought on by "stress"...you have had so much going in your life lately that your mind just will not "shut down" until you are exhausted and you collapse.
I would take warm shower, drink some chamielle tea and lay down there are relaxation exercises that you can do to help......try tensing all the muscles in your body and slowly releasing these muscles starting at your feet and progressing upward until you feel the tension leave your body and you can sleep.....another thing you can try is to lay down and breathe in slowly through your nose and exhaling through your mouth; with your eyes closed..try to visualize a relaxing color..focus on it until the entirety is all that color...continue the breathing until you nod off to sleep.
I know that you will be able to overcome this...you are a strong young man...have a blessed day, my friend....you are in my thoughts and prayers!

If I'm worried about something that I cannot get off my mind, then I won't sleep, even if I am sleepy. I think it can be considered insomnia when you can't sleep for many days.

I have a bedtime routine where I turn lights off and put on my air filter machine. Sometimes I take Melatonin or sniff some lavender. Doesn't always work, unfortunately.

I listen to mellow music, or if I don't get sleep, I cry. When I cried, I easily get sleep.

When I can't sleep which is quite often I read a book and if that does not help I get up and get on the computer or watch tv I even got up one night and prepared my husband breakfast so that he could just grab and go. That is what I do I know some of these things will be considered to stimulate the system but I have to do something besides lay there and look at the ceiling.
