I know it's easy to feed animals. But i'm just having a problem on how to teach my cat to eat whatever i give him. I always give him canned cats food. But whenever it's a chicken or salmon he don't eat it, only he smell it then go. what do you think is the problem? Should I take him to a vet or just leave the food and soon he will eat it too. thanks in advance.

another thought,
when fish and meat aren't fresh, it gives out a terrible smell, especially fish. Even chicken does, but not as bad..also, cats sense of smell are much advanced and sensitive than ours. So maybe your cat's particularly sensitive to the chicken/salmon from that brand, it could be that the company that made it use old meat.

Cats can be very picky with their food, my cat will only eat tinned tuna and she refuses canned cat food completely. The best thing is to try and mix foods to trick them into eating, it has worked for me

try to give it to him little by little, add it to the food your pet likes to eat.
good thing about my cats is that i don't just stick to one food coz its hard if they get used to it... i give them different kinds, like on cat food and table food... sometimes, they eat biscuits and chips... ;)

hey luay!
from first impression, your cat seems to be a very picky one, much like us humans. Either you have to observe what he likes and doesnt, or you can try this, perhaps you can mix in the chicken or salmon once in a while together with something that he likes, start off with tiny bits of chicken and salmon, see his reaction. If he likes it, then u might gradually add bit more. Yeah its strange that he doesnt like chicken or salmon, dont most cats like em?
