astiig,, i can say that hale is number 1, because they all talented, especially champ the lead vocalist, he's totally handsome and a good singer also, his voice is like an angel's voice.. especially if he sungs highnotes, he keep on doing his falceto nvoice.. and for me it symbolizes, that he's great..

i don't think Hale is the number one band in our country today, even if they won an award, I think there's also a great band who made it to the top like Bamboo, Freestyle, South Boarder, Parokya ni Edgar, and RiverMaya. They have great voice too!

maybe they are in their own genre, but sad to say that there are too many bands (if we are talking literally) that may be considered as great, maybe leading in their own musical line.. hehe.. but hale is good in melodrama music, they writings are nice. poetically influenced by melancholic state of maybe their past experiences that made their lyrics more powerful..

Hale - The band Hale.
I like the music of Hale too. Their guitarist (I think his name is Roll) is a great songwriter. I'm a songwriter myself and I really admire his effort of making catchy songs. Their music of Hale is really unique compared to other OPM bands but when you compare it to a foreign one. Their sound is more likely a bit like Coldplay's especially their song Here Tonight. - Ron Reyes www.ronreyes.co.nr

I agree. Their lyrics seem to be anchored on deep emotions that are wonderfully weaved into these words that anyone could relate to. I also like the fact that they are the one and only OPM band in the genre of "senti-rock" as they call it.

Hale? Champ? the best? Errr... Have you heard them perform live?! Champ usually goes out of tune, Piyukin, and you can't really understand the lyrics he's singing on LIVE performances. His Falceto voice on live doesn't sound great at all. No offense bro but i'm not really not a fan of hale, they have a good songs on their CD, good quality music but I want a band who can play well LIVE.

Hey! That's not fair! I've seen them perform live and it wasn't so bad.. You're quiet right abut one thing though: when he sings, it's really hard to understand a word he's saying. But you've got to admit, they really make good music... I think one of the reasons why their music kinda resembles Coldplay's songs is that they look up to the latter as one of their models in the industry, and yep, i also like the songs Here tonight and Underneath the waves.. I'm not one their fans, but i had to admit that they really are good.
