There are many things that can affect your moods hun. Changes in the weather, hormonal changes, maybe a change in your diet, all of these can cause depression and mood swings. Can I suggest you have a word with your doctor and see if your hormones are out of balance, it might be a very simple matter to put right again.

Awh so sorry to hear you're feeling so bad. I think your mum may be right. This is definitely one of the symptoms of depression. I had it myself before I was diagnosed with diabetes, the smallest thing would make me burst into tears and it was driving me mad because I just couldn't stop myself crying at the most inopportune moments. I went to the doctors and initially I was fobbed off by them saying it was hormonal and it was only a year or so later when I went in for routine medical checks that it came out I was diabetic. My doctor and diabetic nurse told me that depression and being tearful went hand in hand and that having more control over my diet and sugar levels would make me feel better generally. I have to admit that it took time and by controlling my diet and losing weight my overall health improved and I felt better in myself. I would however suggest you go for proper medical checks to find out the root of your problems as we are no one here on mylot qualified to help you fully with what could be wrong with you. You really must seek professional help and guidance. Good luck, sending you big hugs and some pretty flowers below to hopefully cheer you up somewhat. x

Ive felt like that many of times.LOL And I think it has to do with nerves. something is bothering you and your pushing it back down and hopeing it will go away. You have to talk to either a friend or a family member about it. You might even feel alittle better because your trying to bring it out on here. Now cheer up. Life is to short better days are coming.LOL Hugs to you.

Well it sounds a lot to me like you may have hormonal problems. I am very similar to you at the moment, and I know it is because I am approaching menopause, and all the hormones get upset. I don't thik you are old enough to be menopausal (though it can happen to some women at a very young age), - so is it possible you could be pregnant? That can upset the hormones. Or could you have some form of post-natal depression if you have had a baby recently? Sounds like a trip to the Docotr is necesary, because they can take blood tests to check your hormone levels, and then treat you accordingly. Or maybe try some natural remedies like St. Johns Wort. I am not a Dcotor, but I do not think you sond depressed, because most people who suffer from depression are more "inward" and rarely cry in public. Good luck with everything anyway.

Sounds like hormones to me, honeymonster. I am always like this a week or so before my aunt flo visits. I can cry at the drop of a hat -- I've cried at missing a bus (which comes every 5 minutes), long-distance phone commercials, whatever. It's just crazy, raging hormones. It got much worse the first month I was on the birth control pill and I'd have really weird highs and lows, but it evened out after a month or so. You may want to keep a journal of sorts for a few weeks. Record your emotional highs and lows every day and after a few weeks look back and see if there is a pattern. If it coincides with your ovulation, it is normal but still treatable by an MD. If you are "low" for two weeks or more at a time, go and see an MD about getting tested for a mood disorder.
Don't feel stupid! I've cried in the middle of a store as well. I've also cried in the middle of an airport, and at passenger pick up of a DIFFERENT airport, lol. Sometimes our bodies get the best of us, and at those times, there is really nothing you can do. ((hug))

Hi there, sorry your having such a rough time. It could be depression or maybe PMS. Have you recently started a birth control or switched types of birth control? Sometimes these things can really throw off your hormone levels. I make an appointment and talk this over with your doctor. In the mean time chocolate always makes me feel better.
