Yesterday noon I was out with my hubby, we pulled over to check out something really quick. While I was waiting, I saw this man probably around 40s of age, he was walking barefoot!!! It was really really sunny and humid at that time. And what's most depressing is this man stopped walking and kneeled to drink water from the puddle! I feel sorry for him! It just made me remembered how blessed I am. What to you is the most depressing thing you've seen/witnessed lately?

Hi shorva I feel the same way about homeless people. When I see something like that I feel so sorry for them. One time I bought something to eat for a homeless person and she ate all up like she was starving. And you know I felt so good after doing that. I think if we can help out just alittle bit its good. I dont believe in giving them money thou.

That's GOT to be the saddest thing I've ever heard! I couldn't top that but will say that the saddest thing I've seen lately was a little girl with her mother and she was filthy and dressed poorly walking down the street. It made me wonder if they had a place to stay.

it is misfortune, not of the homeless people, but of the human kind as a whole.
It really is a misfortune that we humans are so gifted animals and still are unable to solve the miseries of our fellow human beings.
I really feel sad about all this. Though I do not have any concrete idea as of now on how to solve this problem, but I would really look forward to do it. but like every other human being, I too am becoming a kind of ignorant towards the miseries of homeless people.

I used to live next to a homeless shelter, so I often had them camped out waiting for their next meal on my lawn. Sometimes they scared me, one man kept going on my patio. Most of them had a lot of mental health problems, that's really sad.

The homeless problem is part of what frustrates me with the amount of money we spend in other countries. We should be putting that money to use in our country and taking care of our own people. Many of the homeless are mentally ill. The community mental health centers have either closed or had extreme budget cuts, and the people end up on the streets. What a sad reflection on a supposedly civilized society.
