I will be 30 soon. But, I still celebrate my birthday. I bring home a cake and have a small part at home; inviting friends and my parents over. I know you tend to loose your interest in celebrating your birthday as you grow old. Some of my friends do not celebrate their birthday saying, its just another day....... some even go to the extent that its now 1 year less than my life..... I think such a thing is silly. Everyone should celebrate their birthday..... be of whatever age. What do you have to say to this ?

I celebrate my birthday in a different way. After my family and friends greet me i go to an orphanage and feed the poor children. I also go to temple and feed the beggers. I also pay the school fees of poor children.

The way I celebrate my birthdays is to go out to my sister's house. Sometimes I go to a Golden Corral buffet place. I agree that it is a really great get-together.

at your age a b/d party is quite different then 21..as 21 it is a special year of maturity..I had parties that friends gave me when i was 32 and brand new..but now i am 63 and all free..i have no job, no mortgage, no boss, and no money..but i am reitred with a pension so that is enough for me..as parties are for the very young and the very old..maybe at 100 i will have a party..like my Uncle Curtis who is 96 last Oct 18

Yes of course, I will celebrate my birthday yearly together with my family and friends. I will celebrate my birthday in a simple way. I and my loving wife together with my 2 little cute kids. We go out for dinner and have some malling or some play in the amusement center. And that is how I spend the all day of my birthday. Maybe, it will happen only once a year in my life.

while I do acknowledge my birthday I do not do the hooplah for myself - if someone else wishes to make a tado over my birthday I will let them do it, though.

i love celebrating my birthday! on my birthday i always insist on doing something special, if possible..well, everyone celebrates their birthday in different ways. some don't celebrate at all, but that's ok. it doesn't mean you have to celebrate your birthday all the time. sometimes one just grows out of it and don't feel like celebrating but still manage to have a wonderful birthday :)

I am now 52 years old and yes I do love to celebrate my birthday. It is the one day that I do not have to share with anybody else and people can say happy birthday to me and me alone. I love to be with at least one person on my birthday, to have a meal with or do something together. I find it very special and I look forward to it.

I think it is nice to celebrate a birthday regardless of age. I have a little celebration every year for my birthday. Usually it is a family dinner and then a few drinks later in the evening. For my 65th birthday, I will have a big party in a hotel. All my family, relations and friends will be invited as 65 is a special birthday. I won't have another big celebration until I am 70, but I will have the small ones in between.

I never celebrated my birthday eversince as a child. My mother used to make the day special by cooking some special food during the whole day. But we don't have any invited friends around. Now, i keep on with it. It is just an ordinary day for me. My kids though will not allow it. They cook some spaghetti, have a cake around, some bread and softdrinks. They will come out with some food recipes, just in case some relatives and friends invited themselves. lol. This is because, we had an experience when my son's frineds came over during is birthday and, we had nothing but the usual food for the day. We had to have some express cooking going to be able to have something to offer them.

i still celebrate, but nothing fancy. i would treat my co-workers for a lunch out, and they would be getting a cake for me. then when i go home i'd treat my family for dinner. however it also depends on where i was during my birthday. if i was on travel, my family would celebrate it for me and charge the cost when i go home. -lol- i get to have several celebrations coz i want to celebrate with friends, family, colleagues, and my boyfriend. schedule and geographical locations however do not permit us to throw just one celebration. so we do it separately. i agree with celebrating birthdays, at whatever age, may it be simple or fancy. to celebrate birthdays is like celebrating life. one year of joys and tears, trials and triumphs, lessons and learnings, people we meet and friends we keep, love we gained and nurtured, and the treasures we have: family, friends, special love one/ partner, and our hopes and dreams. :)

Agree with you. I'm 25 and still celebrate my birthday every year. Cake is the most important thing for my birthday. Just a small party with my family and my boy friend, i do like it . Birthday is a special day for me.

I don't celebrate my own birthday often.Cause i often forget it.While, when i forget it,my parents and close friends will shopping and prepare the present for me secretly. When i get home at night after finishing my study at school,i take a bath. Then when i am to go to bed, when i step into my room,i suddenly find the presents and so big a cake on the table in the middle of my room.I'm in pure happy and be appreciated for my relatives and friends. Then we share the delicious foods together, singing the birthday song, enjoying the cake, then make a wish:i hope the people around me be healthy for ever. The feeling is so perfect that you never know unless you undergo the same situation. So, i'm very lucky to own such parents and friends who care me so much.Although i often forget celebrateing my birthday, but they never forget it.

I have always celebrated my birthday, I can never miss it. I think we always have to take advantage of any occasion that can be turned into a party, we all need to have fun, laugh and have goof times. With my husband not only do we celebrate our anniversary of marriage but also the day we met. It doesn't hurt to have fun and some special days are not just like other days because they bring you good memories.Take care.

Yeah, I will be 30 soon also. I usually celebrate my birthdays at my sister's house. Sometimes I celebrate it at a Golden Corral buffet place. It is always a really great get-together ever. When I do get really, really old, I began to fall apart.

yes, I do. I always find some ways to celebrate my birthday like going to church and pray because another year has pass and I am still here or we will have a small family celebration. At times, I go out with my friends.

Ya i still celebrate my birthday either simply or have a party. When i was a kid, i used to have a party but now that i have a family of my own i celebrate it with my family. I usually go to church to pray then stay at home with my family. We cook something for the family to eat. What matters is that my family is there to celebrate it with me.
