I've found that as I get older, the meaning of Home Sweet Home is clearer to me. After our camping trip this weekend, I've never been more ready to be home again! I enjoyed the trip, but when it was the morning to come home, I had camp broke down and ready to go 1 1/2 hrs. early! To me home is a place where you can be yourself, relax, and be comfortable with your surroundings. We don't have the fanciest home, but it is ours! Do you find yourself ready to come home after a vacation or weekend trip? Or do you wish you could stay on vacation longer?

Perhaps, 'home, sweet home' nostalgic feeling applies more to me than any other person. I feel like a fish out of water anytime I stay outside my home for the least amount of time you can think of. My home is my refuge, my fortress, my fun. I enjoy my home best when all the members of the family are around with me. Home to me also includes my familiar surroundings and neighbours. No vacation or fun time outside my familiar home environment thrills me for long before I start feeling homesick. Indeed, I had to go on voluntary retirement 5 years ago when I considered myself not being able to cope with an imminent transfer outside my home, particularly as it was inexpedient for me to move my family along with me. It probably has to do with my unexciting social life.

I don't think I could leave my home for a job transfer either. When I was younger, and was moved around from district to district, it didn't bother me. But now that I'm older, and have a home that I've put alot of work in, I don't think I would want to start over again.
