Help! I accidentally erased a file that my printer needs in order to communicate with my computer. It was the file that enables me to scan photos. OK..I know that was stupid, but now I need to be able to put that information back in so that I can scan photos again.
To make matters worse, I can not find the disc containing the setup information. I looked in the owners manual and there is no telephone number listed for replacements.
How can I get this information for my HP officejet 4215v all-in-one printer?

Go to the hp web site there you will be able to download the required drivers.

oh my goodness! My HP stopped scanning recently! it says file missing or needs to be installed or something like that. And I DO have my discs and HAVE installed them.... still I get that error. do you think we may have picked up a web virus that attacks HP's?

I guess if you can reinstall the drivers of the printer every thing will be fine.
