what does colored stars on top of many discussion responses indicates

when you reach your 100 posts, you get that star which shows your ranking... 10 being the highest... that is according how other rate your discussions and responses... the + is positive rate, - negative rate and the ! is to report abuse... ;)

The numbered star on top of the username is actually your rating. The rating comes from the activities that you do in mylot. If you are active in responding and posting in this site, chances are, your number will go up. The plus and minus.. well you can rate the responses if you want... this will help each one in their rating. I think the rating also affects the earnings.

I don't know what it means.The only thing I know is to have one colored star,you must make at least 100 posts.In my first 100 posts,I took a yellow star and inside it,number 8.When I reached my 200 posts,it turned to red one and with the number of 9.I passed my 300 posts today and I didn't see any change after my 300 posts.I hope someone replies your question and I learn the fact about stars and numbers as well.

You will get a star when you post at least one hundred times. The number represents your rating based on how other posters rated you. At the lower right of the discussion you will see the ratings bar that consists of a "+" "-" and a "!". These ratings are tabulated to determine your rating with ten being the highest. Once you have your star with number, you can run your mouse over it and you will see the actual rating which will read as an exampled "96 out of 100" with 100 being the highest. Of course, your rating can change based on how other posters rate you.

i think when you reach 100 posts then the star appear and number in inclosed indicates positive rating to your responses. + is giving for positive rating - for nagative ! for reporting abuse
