Do you trust your "Gut-feeling"

Usually when I get that gutfeeling that something is wrong, something usually is and I have in the past few years learned to trust it. I had a feeling that my ex was cheating on me, although everyone else told me he would never do that. They said that my gutfeeling was just my insecurity.. However I turned out to be right about it all along... And this is not the only time.. So do you ever get a gutfeeling, and more importantly - do you trust it?

Yup, the 'ole gut and I are very close friends. I have come to trust 'ole gut when he tells me something because 9 times out of 10 he ends up being correct once all the chips have fallen! 'Ole gut has been such a true blue friend that I often ask him, "You have helped me so very much, now what can I do for you?" Strangely, all he will ever say is , " just keep the chocolate coming!" Ha!

It took me some time till i got to that point of trusting my gut feeling. I was insecure about it for years, and that was a mistake. But now i think that it is one of the main tools for making decisions in my life, maybe because i do know how to combine it was some logic and not only emotions. So i can tell you that i always trust on my gut-feeling.

I don't, but I should. I can remember once I dated this horrible man who was forever cheating on me (unsure how it lasted 3 long years), but needless to say everytime he cheated I could just feel it in my gut and I would always question him, he was honest to a fault and would always admit it, it would hurt me so bad, but I would always be telling my gut that it was not true, that someone could not hurt me that bad, you should always listen to your gut, kind of like women's intuition, it is never wrong.

Maybe women do have more power in this gutfeeling - or maybe men gets them as well. Hoping for replies from all opinions (and genders)

Hello,marie2473,I think the gut feeling for women a re quite accurate, if you feel something wrong, most of the time, there is something wrong even you cannot tell what is going wrong actually. I was cheated by my ex-boyfriend, I had gut feeling that something was going wrong, but I was just being irrational and let my mind dominate over my guy feeling .Finally my gut feeling was proved to be truth.Since then ,I would pay more attention on my gut feeling if something seems to go wrong.

Its a natural ability we posses, this 'gut-feeling'. Our values shapes it, our experiences strengthens it and our wisdom portrays its significance to our actions. If I had to choose to be proven wrong, I would rather be proved wrong for acting on my gut-feelings rather than acting because people think its the 'right' thing to do.

Your inner feelings are usually right on the money! I always follow my gut. Many times I put them aside only to find out that I shouldn't have. Glad to know that he is your "ex".

I always trust my gut feeling. I also caught my ex bf cheating on me thru my gut feeling. He was the nicest guy alive so nobody ever thought he will cheat on me but I had a gut feeling that he was cheating and I was right. From then on I always trusted my gut feeling.
