Do you hate a subject because of the subject matter or because of the teacher?

I hated science for a long time because I had a really bad teacher for a couple of years. I mean, he was horrible. He made lewd comments about women pretty frequently (and this was a Christian school!) and on top of that was just plain a bad teacher. If you didn't understand his lecture and you asked a question, he'd just berate you because "obviously you weren't paying attention in the first place. If you had, you wouldn't have to ask stupid questions." There was this guy in my class who got straight A+'s in every subject...he was actually related to Sir Isaac Newton, and he was freaking brilliant. I'm pretty sure he got a C in this teacher's chemistry class. It was that bad. I've had a couple of good professors in college, though, and I love science now.

hello there i want to tell you first thing that you have a good question to ask. we students hate the subject mostly because we think that the teacher is not teaching properly. actually we hate the subject because we would have settled our mind such that the subject is very hard to study... so we could not understand the concept properply and we hate the subject..if we student set our mind that the subject is very easy and it can be studied easily then no subject in the world is difficult..

i usually hate the subject not because of the content but the teacher teaching that subjetc but in case of algebra that is a different story.

It can definitely go both ways. I can have a favorite subject, but a terrible professor can make me hate it, or I can have a subject I hate, but I will end of lovin the class, because of the way the professor teaches and because of his/her love for the subject.

In alot of cases, I just dislike the subject. My math and science teachers from last year were the most entertaining educators I've ever come across but Chemistry and Algebra really made me worry about my grades and I just never cared for either subject. I haven't had a teacher that I completely disliked yet so that's good.

i hate the subject only for one purpose because it is difficult..
