so for those women who gave birth before, what do you pack in the hospital bag? I need to pack one this weekend.

You need to pack a outfit for your new baby. At least one, two if the outfit that you are going to want his or her hospital pictures taken in will not be warm enough to wear home. You don't need to bring your carseat with you, but you need it to be allowed to take the baby home. You need to pack anything that is going to make labor easier for you. Music, a tennis ball for massaging your back, maybe a snack for your partner if you are feeling nice. Something comfy to wear home, do not think you are going to fit in any pre pregnancy! Slippers, pajamas, maybe a robe. I always brought my own pillows. Nursing bras if you are nursing. Good luck and congrats!

You will be great! It is natural to be scared. I was scared with everyone of my three. I would reach a point is size where I would wonder how the baby was going to manage to come out. Are you planning on having a epideral?

I think I packed about 3 pajamas, my husband aunts bought me brand new pajamas so I took them with me. Tooth brush and tooth paste, I took hair brush and socks.
Dont forget the baby book so that you can make copy the baby's foots print. clothes for the baby when you take baby home. And extra films for your camera. I guess empty memory card is you use the digital camera.
I hope you will have a safe birth for you and for your baby. Im not sure if you are going through the natural labor or c-section but good luck. If you are going to have a c-section, take a pillow with you.

I'm 7 months pregnant now, and I had my first baby 3 years ago. I really don't remember having much stuff. I had comfortable clothes for the trip back. A massager. Baby clothes, diapers, blankets (all of course for the baby). I had pads, my contacts case and solution, my prescription medication, a book, and I can't think of anything else. I haven't even thought about what I'm taking this time!

wow, congrats on the upcoming arrival of your little one.
Do take chapstick, socks, and any daily medicine you need.
Don't take nice pjs because they could be ruined with bodily fluids.
Good luck, honey!!

I just started my hospital bag this morning and used my checklist. Some thing that I still have to get are a robe, a package of undies, 2 maternity bras and some good slippers. I'm going to bring some rubber bands and oils for massages. I'm thinking of bringing some soft music to listen to too. Something to keep me focused. Lets see...what else was there. Of course the baby stuff. Clothes to bring him/ her in. Have the car seat ready. Toothbrush and all the other toiletries. Have your coach bring money, snacks, a notepad. Also I'm brining a Sodoku puzzle to keep me busy and magazines. lolI plan on using whatever distractions I can to get me by. It also mentioned a tennis ball, I'm guessing as a massage technique. Bring any birthing plan you have and all your insurance information ready. Ummm....I'm sure there are lots more but my preggo brain isn't working to much. Good Luck!

With my last I only took a change of clothes for me (I hate hospital gowns so I bring sweats and a t-shirt to put on), my slippers, extra underwear (the big ones I wore through the pregnancy), toiletries, my camera, some crocheting to do when I got bored, and outfits for the baby. That was it.

i had winter babies and all they dressed them in at the hospital was a little tshirt, so i took outfits for the baby, gown for me, toothbrush, hair brush, makeup if u wish to have it, and female products cause the ones they give you in the hospital aren't very good, underwear, outfit to come home in, blankets for baby. And a camera. and phone numbers for everyone you want to call. congrats on the baby
