Have you ever dealt with discrimination in your life? I have with being a woman and being black. It is always assumed I can't do things just because I am a woman. Also if you are in certain places and your black you may not be treated the same. I kn ow today is supposed to be a better world but sometimes I don't feel it!

You might not see it but I am discriminated against all of the time. I am a white male. There are no white male scholarships but there are scholarships for everyone else. Why? I don't know. If I were to start a white male scholarship foundation I would be labeled a racist. Which I am not. I am just stating a fact. It might sound dumb but I know my children would not be accepted at an all black school. I know the only way to eliminate discrimination is to eliminate certain rules. Personally I look at people in classes not colors. Poor, Almost poor, Surviving, Middle Class, Almost Rich and Rich. I don't come from money. I don't get any favoritism being a white male. I need a scholarship from the United Negro Foundation more than some of the people they have received them. I am discriminated mostly because of my hair or because I am usually dirty. I own a landscaping company. If I were to go into a bank wearing what I wear every day they want a blood sample and a lock of hair to open an account. But if I put on a custom suit (I used to sell suits about 12 years ago) and said that I forgot my wallet after fidgeting around for a bit they say that is ok. I got a po box this way just to see if they would treat me different in a suit. But I did have short hair. I think if you don't look a certain way regardless of the color of your skin you will face discrimination. Some people who don't know any better confuse it with racism. Which it is not.

there actually ARE scholarships for white males. african americans get scholarships because they're MINORITIES. well as historically black colleges, whites are MINORITIES. and they get to go to those colleges on full ride scholarships for white ppl to make the school more diverse. so don't be mistaken, there are scholarships for white males, you just haven't looked on the right sites.

I have faced discrimination in my life. Partly because I am black and then that I am in an interracial relationship. My husband is hispanic and I am black. I get alot of grief from people who do not agree with interracial relationships and sometimes it is hard. But me and my husband doesn't mind, we still love each other no matter what other people may think of our relationship. I have also faced it when I was little, I had a best friend who was white and her mother did not like me because I was black. I remember never being allowed in her house when her mother was home and remembering her mother saying in front of me, I can't believe you let that "N" word in my house. Her type of people steal kill and so much more. I remember at that time I was so hurt that I just ran away. I can't believe how her and I friendship lasted the amount of time that it did. Then I think it funny now, because she married and had a baby with a black guy, my best friend and makes me wonder if her mother is the same way.

Oh yes, I have been discriminated against. a) I'm a woman b) I'm overweight c) I'm over 55 years old Three strikes and you're out when it comes to getting a decent job. I've had had to put up with a lot of discrimination since I lost my job, mainly age discrimination, so yes I know how it feels.

the strongest discriination i feel is from african americans. i'm dark skinned. african americans will verbally abuse me for that. they're basically saying "you're too african" like with schools doing the brown paper bag test, or how all african american celebrities are fair skinned or biracial. if i'm ever ashamed of my race it is because my race is so ashamed of itself...nonblacks are less obvious with their racism, or more subtle

I feel the same way. I dont understand it actually because they say all man [mankind] are created equal. There are still people out there saying racist remarks and doing racist things towards us. haha its funny to me when like a white person does racist things like their mad at us, have they forgotten what they earlier generations did to our ancestors? If anything we should be mad at them. Honestly I think racism should be illegal because who does that nowadays besides the old people seriously. Its never the younger generations its always the old people that want to be racist.
