Should parents be notified if their daughter has an abortion?

Or even if their teen asks for contraceptives? Schools aren't allowed to give tylenol or benedryl without parental permission, but our teens can go to an abortion clinic for major surgery and we don't know about it until after the fact, if ever. Hopefully we won't find out because our child is in the hospital because of complications. So what are your thoughts?
