yes, ubuntu's 7.04 release is cool as it comes with beryl the main thing i liked about ubuntu was that although it is based on debian but it's installer is graphical and quite easy than debian

I TRIED it, but I could not, for the life of me, get opengl working properly. I went through all the steps necessary getting the latest NVIDIA video drivers installed (I've got an NVidia GeForce 6200, 256mb), even used Alberto Milone's Envy script when all else failed, reinstalled Feisty a couple of times, scoured the Ubuntu forums for hours, and had no luck. I've since switched back to Edgy Eft, which works wonderfully with my video card. I may, later on, try 7.04 again. I'm certain there's something I missed, but I don't have the patience at the moment to figure out what it might have been.

well i havent really tried but i am raring to go at it in a couple of months , and ubuntu or for that matter any linux distro becoming friendlier than windows, i quite disagree as many people just are complete noobs in os's and all they know is how windows xp functions. i tried putting my dad and sis thru opensuse and ubuntu but in the end i had to give it up.

I am using it on my laptop, although I don't really agree yet on it being more user friendly than windows. There's still quite a lot to be fixed, one for all in my opinion is not to release a new version when support for the ATI X*** cards didn't work. But let's hope in the upcoming versions all will go more smoothly.
