HRM, inputs pls!

My son just entered college and took up the course i wanted for him (Accountancy). Now he said he wants to shift to HOTEL & RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT. Please help me convince myself that he's choosing a good course over my choice, sigh. I just have this idea that HRM is a very limited field.
What opportunities are there for him after graduation? Are hotels and restaurants lucrative and stable businesses to venture in? I'd highly appreciate your inputs.

whatever he chooses all you need to do is support him. he succeed on it on his own doing. whether the industry is up or down. success is being made by the person & not by the industry. when you support him, you are pushing him to reach his success.

thank you so much. i did agree to his course-shifting already, i just want to know more of the field so i can help him somehow. i appreciate your reply, i admit it was hard for me to accept the first time my son asked me, but i realized it's his life, his course. you telling me the same made me feel better, tnx :)
