I am a techno legal advisor and a project management consultant based in mumbai with more than 29 years experience.

Our society with 2 other societies have amalgamated for redevelopment and according have appointed consultant and architect. The consultant have now asked the managing committee of all the 3 societies to become promoters and one among them has been made chief promoter. Is it lawful for the Managing Committee to become promoters even before the redevelopment project to take place and the selection of builders to be finalised. Kindly Advice
