Actually, we have both. I have a dvd player in the living room. The vcr is in my 5 year olds room, she had so many vcr tapes and knows how to use it, so I let her keep. However, I noticed not too many stores even sell vcr tapes now. We did buy her a travel tv with dvd for road trips, she loves it.

Well..we did, we had one of them machines that had both vcr and dvd capability. Since our housefire we are gonna miss those movies..vhs and dvd that entertained us so well. Happy movie watching.

We have both. We tend to watch more dvd's because I don't think that they even offer video tapes at the video store anymore. MY son has a ton of vhs tapes and would much rather watch off vcr because you dont have to worry about it freezing 1/2 way threw the movie.

I have a VCR and a DVD/VCR combo. I use the VCR to record TV shows and the DVD to watch movies. But, recently, there was a movie that I wanted to see that was available only in VCR format at the library. I couldn't find it anywhere else, not even to buy, in DVD format. So, I still watch a movie from time to time on cassette.
