Insomnia

I suffer from severe insomnia. I have had this problem since I was 14, now 32. It has gotten worse since 2004 when my son was diagnosed with diabetes. I always worry so much about him I cant sleep. Of course I worry about other problems as well finances, the other two children. My health has gone way down hill the last few months and Im pretty sure it is from the lack of sleep I get. Chronic back pain, falling asleep during the day. Any suggestions would help.

Do you take anything to help you sleep? There are natural things that can help...i have sleep issues also and hubby and i sleep apart...he misses snuggling, but if he wants a healthy wife (i work p/t - my kids are older - 10 & 14) there are sacrifices to be made. i also take a sleeping pill... have you talked to a dr? gone to a sleep clinic? good luck, i hope you keep me posted

Worry goes with motherhood, and they havent found a pill to cure it. But remember for you to be able to keep up with all your obligations you need your health. If you get sick its no good.If you get a sleep in the day take advantage of it.when you get into bed at night read something or do something completely different from you daily routine, reverse your thought patterns.Sometimes the change in thought paths helps the brain to relaxand turn off.
