I did the atkins diet and after about 3 weeks I lost 4 lbs, so I quit doing it and gained 9 lbs almost immediately because of all of the meat and cheese and things you had to eat aon it. It says that might happen and they are not kidding! Just stick with cutting portions and trying to eat more veggies and stuff like that. Good luck

My aunt did the low-carb thing and lots quite a lot! She was always ... kinda chubby. Lol. She looks great now. But, as for me, I just couldn't do the low-carb diets. I like my bread too much! Lol. What I'm doing now is just watching what I eat. I eat in very much moderation. Like, for breakfast, I'll have a banana and yogurt. Sometimes I don't have the yogurt, but always the banana. And I eat as I'm walking out the door to work. I guess I think if I'm on my way out, I'll be less likely to grab something less healthy. For lunch, I'll have whatever we've cooked that day. (I work in a cafeteria). But, for example, if we've had chicken patties, mashed potatoes, green peas, and hot rolls, I will simply have a chicken patty on the hot roll. And again, I grab the sandwich on my way out the door for my lunch break. I come home from work and do aerobics or something similar for an hour before picking the house back up and getting ready for my boys get home from school. Then I relax for a bit. For dinner, I normally have just about anything I want, but again, in moderation. I don't over-eat, and I especially don't over-eat the things that I know are unhealthy. If it's healthy, I eat as much as I want! haha. I've been doing this 'regularly' for a week now and I've lost (I think) 4lbs. I weighed myself Sunday, after only 4 days of this and I'd lost 2lbs. I'll weigh again tonight and let you know. =P
