I am in remission. My pain would be nothing or 1-3 when I do have it. My worst symptom was always fatigue and "brain Fog."
I got sick about 14 years ago, I have been in remission about 7 years.

How were you able to put it in remission?

Thanks Patgalca. Along with the pain I have had terrible fatigue recently, and have been having to go to bed early most nights which is not usual for me. I just can't seem to get caught up on my sleep.
If I had to rate my own pain I'd have to do it based on sitting, standing and sleeping. lol
Lately it's been really bad and keeping me awake almost every hour on the hour. Not too bad when sitting, but it's sure hard to get moving, and to walk.

My fibro has been horrible since we moved to a new state. The weather is a bit more extreme here. I have been at a steady 7 for the past two months.
If someone could tell me how to send it into remission I would love that person forever!

I'm in remission for two months now. My pain level is zero. I quit using chemicals in my cleaning products and started taking vitamins and minerals. My Rheumatologist was so shocked! He'd never seen this before. Yay!

ArysMom, I've never heard of the fibro going into remission either, although I have heard some people say that their fibro has eased up pretty good at times. I suppose it's a matter of finding what does and doesn't help for everyone, and what also may be a hindrance for some people like the weather, cleaners, allergies, etc. I know I've also found if I have a lot of foods that cause me to retain fluids that my fibro is worse, but I must admit, on the average my pain is at least a 7 most of the time if not worse. There are days when I might have a little more relief and more often than not days when it's worse, and that's with pain medications. Sometimes I wonder if the pain med's really do all that much, but if I don't take them, then I do notice an increase in pain so I hate to think what it would be like without the pain meds.

To add to that, it was only just recently that I started hearing about people saying they were in remission, so that's why I was asking about it. I had never heard it mentioned as a remission before...but it would be nice to think that there actually is a remission.

Dawn, I think your original thought of "Remission"? was right on the money...I was diagnosed after two years of Tests, prodding , poking, etc. by a Prominent Rheumatologist at the University of Michigan. Unless it was a report released yesterday, there is no "remission" in Fibromyalgia..and I would say my pain averages 5-7 with my meds..if I over extend it..I'm up into 9/10...sleep is one of the biggest issues with Fibromyalgia..it seems to "escape" us...most individuals cannot reach REM sleep...I'm curious if the individual who had FM 14 years ago was possibly misdiagnosed...it wasn't until about 7 years ago that Doctors were finally accepting FM as a diagnosis...sadly! And again, there are always people with alternative motives, i.e. selling "vitamins" etc. that will "heal" and "cure" fm....NOT!
Hoping you have a lower pain day!
