I have a 5 year old and a 2 year old and I really wnat to take my family to Disneyland. We dont really have a lot of extra money so I am trying to find ways to do it cheap. We would like to fly in but the air fare is very costly. We are thinking late September. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to do Disney on a budget?

We did Disneyland on the cheap about a year and a half ago. 1)Check the Disneyland site for ticket deals - we could all go for the child price. 2)We stayed at America's Best Inn (about .5 miles away) Older and inexpensive, but full of families going to Disneyland. The rooms have microwaves and refrigerators so we could eat breakfast and dinners in the room. Not fancy, but clean enough. 3)The hotel is on the Anaheim Resort Transit. Regularly scheduled shuttle that was very inexpensive (esp. if you buy your ticket ahead of time on the internet) and saved us parking costs. 4)The best lunch deal that we found at Disneyland was in Mickey's Toon Town. The pizza joint served a *large* personal pan pizza and a good sized salad. Lines were quick.

Well if you keep posting on here you will get some extra money, I worked on here and left my money in Paypal so I would spend it, I ended up buying a Portable DVD player that I couldn't afford to buy myself at Christmas, if you post good quality discussions and replies, post some pictures, if you have lots of photos a good way is to really get your Interests section built up, you can do it just keep posting and before you know it you and your little ones will be in Disneyland....

This site is gereat for a bit of extra cash. I am almost to $10. Also I just found out that paypal will pay 5% in dividends to keep cash in there so I am trying to build up my paypal ballance to earn a bit more cash. Thank you for your comments. I will keep posting here because I love it but the cash is a great perk too.

Is there any way that you can drive? This will cut down on the cost tremendously! I would suggest that you find a condo to stay at so you can buy groceries and make all the meals in the condo.. This will save you a bundle also. Once you get to Florida (right, Disneyland is Florida/ Disneyworld is Ca?), you will see many offers for free Disney tickets. All you have to do is take a tour threw a time share condo. They will try to pressure you into buying, but keep the word no as your answer. My husband and I have done these tours many times. If you were going in April instead of Sept, I could offer you a great condo for only $800 for the week. See, we broke down during one tour and actually purchased, now we rent it out whenever possible. With the ages of your kids, you wouldn't want to take more than one day at Disney. It is a very long day for the kids, but a great time. Also, try disneyvacations.com and see if they have any good deals. have fun:)

Actualy Disneyland is in California, but that isnt really important. We thought about driving but we have enough points saved up for 2 free flights so it will be a bit cheaper to fly, pennies after we add on the transportation to the hotel. We were trying to avoid renting a car. But it is a great idea to do the condo and grocerie thing. My kids would eat better that way anyhow. I could cook up some great meals for what it costs to eat in the park. Thanks.
