Does anyone here get mani's/pedi's? If so, how much do you usually spend on just a pedicure, just a manicure, and both together?
In the part of PA where I am from a mani costs $20, a pedi costs $30, and a mani/pedi costs $40. Plus tip.
Do you feel guilty when you do get a mani/pedicure?
I love doing this after my semester's are over but feel like I am wasting money when I do...yet I just can't make it look the same when I do my nails myself:(

Well, I have acrylic nails so I go every two weeks. A full set costs around $20 unless you get solar nails (pink and whites) and those cost about $35 for a full set. A fill costs between $10 and $15 depending on where you go. For the solar nails a fill costs about $20 everywhere. A pedicure can cost as low as $20 but if you use the massage chair they can cost as much as $40. A complete mani/pedi set without acrylic fills costs about $45. If you have acrylic fills with the pedicure it can cost $55. Then there are all the extras you can get.
For me, a fill and pedicure costs $65. I have extra long nails so they cost more. That includes the tip. I find that the better I tip my lady, the better my nails look. So, I like my nails thin and sqoval. So, good tip, great nails. It takes my girl about an hour to do my nails and then another 20 minutes for my toes.

I live in Seminole Fl. The prices vary greatly from salon to salon. Where I go, a manicure is $12 and a pedicure is $18. They are fast, efficient, and never hurt me like some of the places around here. They also have those massage chairs you sit in while they do your toes.

I guess I'm lucky because where I live in California, there is an over abundance of Nail Shops. I can find nice clean places where manicures/pedicures are $10 each, but $15 together, unless you want something really fancy done to them, like hand-painted nail-designs. Those cost an extra $5. Of course, you have to figure in tip.
I think it's nice to treat yourself out every once in awhile. But, I usually don't do it with mani's or pedi's. I usually treat myself to a massage at a day spa. The mani's and pedi's I save for special occaisions where I have to dress up all fancy. hehehe

The spot I go to in ATL a spa mani/pedi costs $25 + tip = $30. I get these once a month and I try to go every week and get a "polish change" on my fingers for $5 (+ tip = $7). If I go on a Monday/Tuesday (instead of a Saturday) it's not as crowded and no wait most of the time and I get undivided attention.

That's awesome, the place I go to here is usually packed every day...especially when it gets nice outside.

I don't really have any money to dish out for manicures or pedicures, but I do know that here in Virginia that manicures usually run about $20. I've always wanted one, but I work in a pizza place and don't have much money so it's not all that practical.
