I would admit i dont regularly bowel. Maybe because im lack of fiber, i dont drink that enough water, i dont eat foods that rich in fiber. I was really bothered about it, because they say its not healthy perhaps its one of the cause im easily get constipation and my metabolism is very slow. I was thinking of the toxic thats trap in my body and the possible effect on it to me and that makes me scared especially diabetes also runs on our blood. So when i realized that, i started to research and consult a doctor about it so Now i take enough fiber. I had my fiber supplement and i eat food thats rich with fiber and i absolutely see positive result on me. Believe me, now i have a regular bowel and im really thankful because i feel much better than before.
I would like to share some insights that i think would also help you who have the same situtaion like me. Fiber is a special type of carbohydrates found in the outer layers of plants that paasses through the human digestive ystem w/o being broken down into nutrients. It aids the digestion process:
1) slows down the eating process to make you feel full thus prevent overeating.
2) slows down absorption of glucose(sugar) in food which keeps blood sugar on even level
3)fiber is broken down i the colon, by this breakdown it helps nourish the lining of the colon.
Hope this would help you have the knowledge. Thanks!

I am thankful that I don't have this kind of problem. I make it a point to drink lots of water daily. I eat vegetables and those that are fibrous. These really help because I got no problem when it comes to getting rid of body wastes. Constipation has never been my problem even when I was pregnant. It really makes a difference when you are health conscious and healthy minded.

My dad and my friend and neighbor told me that the best thing for a person with not enough fiber or has bowel problems is to eat a bowl of Raisin Bran. Ever since I started eating Raisin Bran, I have not been constipated or had any troubles. I eat other items with fiber as well but Raisin Bran really does the trick for me. Drinking a lot of water is also very helpful in addition to your fiber and I take several vitamins as well. Glad to hear that you are doing much better now and did some research. Thank you for sharing this information with all of us.

That is a very good amount of knowledge which you have accumulated on fibres. I have observed in real life that regular intake keeps you healthy and the moment you stop ignoring your fibre intake you first get irregular bowl system and then your whole body machinery starts behaving in absurd manner.

I use something I get at the health store to help me be regular. I try to eat alot of fiber and I drink lots of water. I agree with you, I don't like the thought of toxins building up inside me and I think you need to be regular to get it out of you. I also feel better when I am regular. When I don't go for days I feel really run down, sluggish and don't have as much energy.

i could say that i dont eat fiber all the time. i know that fiber helps the digestive system flow more eaisly, and this prevents constipation. it also helps in your health over all, fiber in your diet will be better for you in your overall life, thats my opionion on this matter.

I am the same like you. I don't eat enough fiber and I am not fond of drinking plain water. But recently I was introduced to Melilea Greenfield Organic by one of my friends. It was an all-fibre-based food supplement which gives me ample fibre and nutrients for my body. It makes my bowel become regular and daily. I am relieved now that I have found this product because it has helped me in many ways. I am also more energetic now, and my skin starts to glow from the health. If you want to try it, you can go to this url. Find the article on Melilea Greenfield Organic and you can find my member number so that you can buy with cheaper price. Here's the url.

Yes I always take enough fibre everyday. We must eat food with fibre in it so that we can stay healthy and not constipated, and that is why your metabolism would be slow, and you are absolutely right what fibre will do for your body.

Thanks for the information. Diabetes also runs in my family and I have a slow metabolism. I had to take diet pills for a month to get from 226 to 215 pounds and now with my regular diet and cutting out on stuff with white flour, I am down to 210-211 lb. I think the stuff with white flour is what makes you constipated. Luckily I love rolled oats and when I eat it, I fill up fast. Also bananas help. So if you eat lots of fiber you won't feel as hungry.

I eat enough fiber, except when we go to Saskatoon. It appears that they don't have enough fruit and veggies in their restaurants or the fruit and veggies are way overpriced or no one offers whole wheat bread and their rye bread has too much white flour in it. Other than that I am fine. A little knowledge is not that good if you do not use it. So, eat more fruit and veggies. Substitute brown rice for white or converted rice (if someone in your family hates brown rice, you can sneak it in by making curry or fried rice) drink more water, use whole grain pasta instead of white pasta, and cut out anything that has white flour in it.

Thank you for this useful information. I try to take in as much fiber as I can when it's available. I eat vegetables, fruits and oatmeal and take in lots of water. Sometimes when I get busy, I forget to incorporate fiber in my diet. But I make sure to load up on water to compensate for that.
