my old friend again rang up after last evenings long meet. i thought to put it down after speaking a few minutes.but then the discussion went so long that my ear almost got wet with sweat and my mobile got hot a little . OMG lol. after i put down the ultimately, i received a message 'your account balance is almost finished. you should recharge your account soon' . so stupid of me, i could even talk to him later personally in the evening as he was in the same town. but the talk went on so long unnoticedly. i never talked to anyone so long and was surprised to check the last call duration was 48 minutes. lol again. so i decided to limit my talking time to maximum of 5 minutes now on. what about you? how long do you or can you talk to anyone on your mobile? how long did you ever talk on your mobile? share your experiences.

Oh i have a long winded friend like yours and i always tell her well im using my minutes,so i always try to get to the point of the conversation.I do not like to use my cell phone for long uneventful conversations.i think it should be used for short conversations.I do feel that a person can say what they have to say with a few minutes.Im a lot like you in that respect.Just say oh it is so nice to hear from you but im on my mobile and the minutes are piling up,or you could tell them my battery is getting low, gotta go charge my phone when you get tired of talking, thats what i do..

you are very rationally using your mobile Slickcut. after that experience i have limited my calls to just couple of minutes, by saying rest in person to all those who are in the same town or whom i meet regularly. thanks

On nights and weekends when the calls are free, i can talk for a LONG time on the phone. When it is not free minutes, i tend to keep my calls shorter. We have a lot of minutes, though.

2 hours is a long time. i would rather have a personal chat unless its a long distance call.

I hate talking in long hours whenever the call is through a mobile phone. It is because mobile phones easily get hot than the regular home phone. Plus, it can easily drain the life span of a battery. :) The longest hour I have talked to someone over a mobile phone was only for 45 minutes. I couldn't take to use it more than that already. It's still nice to talk to someone over the phone than the mobile phone :)

The longest i was talking on mobile phone was roughly 1 hour and a half. It was a friend of mine calling from Japan, we were not talking about some things important actually, just catching up with each others lives as he'd been away for a year. I kept on reminding him about the bill but he said to never mind. I guess that's what guys feel if they like someone, just be happy to even just hear the girl's voice. ü It was cut because my battery ran low. you are so right, my ears and phone were hot and sweaty. I could talk much longer on landline phone since its free as long as it is not an overseas call. My friends and i during my college years cant be off the hook talking on the phoneafter school as if we never see each other anyday of teh week. Its crazy! But now, we dont do taht anymore since most of them have already moved out to other cities.

long distance calls to friends always tend to go long as its not a regular thing. if its important one than it could go more than 2 hours too.

landline phone - Best to use one of these for lenthy phone conversations!
Oh gosh I avoid talking on the phone for so long as I can't handle it when my ear gets too hot. If I'm speaking to someone and I feel it's going to be a long call, I suggest that one of us calls back to a landline if possible. If I spoke with someone for 48 minutes on the mobile I would have a headache for hours afterwards - I've learnt my lesson the hard way in the past so I avoid long phone conversations generally now. The longest conversation I had on my mobile was 94 minutes and my head hurt all evening afterwards so I promised myself I would never do that again! I don't think it is good for our health to speak on a mobile phone for long durations so you should be careful in future, as well as your credit disappearing you could potentially have health problems later caused by excessive mobile phone use!

For me, I can talk long until my battery runs out, depends if the conversation is really important and that interesting. But if not, well i just hang it up and tells the other party that i still have to do something more important than having a conversation with a nonsense thing, but of course let's be sensitive, we should tell him / her in a nice way that won't offend his/her feelings. Good Luck to all! Cheers!

as long as the other person is calling , i can talk for hours together on my mobile . its the tendency today that people tend to give you a miss call so that you can call back . if i have to call i make my call short and sweet so that i don't waste to much of my money .but if the other person is calling , then no problem , i can talk for hours together until the mobile battery gets exhausted .

Lol, I live in England and my best friend lives in Ireland so we seldom ring each other on our mobile phones but this one time I did as my landline was out of order and I spent nearly two hours on my mobile chatting away about nothing important. When the bill came in at the end of the month that call had cost me over £60!!! I just could not believe how much it was, I kind of regret it now cos I could have flown home to see her for that kind of money. It was a very expensive lesson to learn. I now use a pay as you go mobile so that there are limits.

Hello, totalearnings, honestly i can tell you i do not like to talk on phones much, I prefer to talk face to face. I use my mobile phone mainly for communication ,like asking my friends when I will meet them, I would not really like to talk too much on phone. May be the longest time i had ever used in a phone call was around 20 minutes ,most of the time it was my friends call me and had something share with me ,but I would then ask them to talk face to face.

im on pre-paid so i don't call much... if some of my friends call me it will just be for a minute or so... but if i have unlimited load then i could talk for hours or until my battery run out... =)

for talking hours you would need to shift your option to post-paid. with prepaid i usually talk little too.

48 minutes? Whew, that was long and costly. I can talk for as long as my cellphone battery can last and for as long as I am not the one being charged for the call. LOLS!
