Just to share with some dog lovers out there some new I recently read about.
A woman in Maryland was choking on a chunk of apple and was given the Heimlich Maneuver by her quick-thinking 2 year old dog, Toby. The dog jumped on her back and caused the dislodging of the piece of fruit from her throat.
Where the dog learned first aid is a mystery but the owner suspects that explains his sudden disappearances at all times of the day and night when he told her he was out hunting for birds!

Perhaps the lady used to read Snow White as a bedtime story so the dog was suspicious of apples and when she started choking he knew he would have to save her. Perhaps he spends his time looking for glass slippers so that she can marry a prince. My dog is too stupid to be a hero but we love hime all the same.
