No I would not like to be immortal for certain reasons:
1. I don't want to hear my mirror telling me everyday..Don't scare me.
2. Everything has a shelf life so do I...better enjoy it before the expiry date comes.
3. Why would one want to live eternally...to see people killing people, the way world is heading today i don't think any sane person would prefer to be immortal.
4. In hinduism it is said that there are 33 crore yonis a human lives through, well let me enjoy them.
5. The rule of life says one who has come has to go and make space for new generation. Means anything that is on earth be it humans, plants, resources, chemicals, the makeup kit in your bedroom and purse, the makeup on your face (no matter how much mascara, perfumes, kohl etc.etc. you use, it has a life and will lose its glow by the time day ends or u landup in bed ready to sleep). Even uranium has a shelf life so what if the halflife is millions of years but it is there.
6. And to top all in Hinduism you can have only one wife at a time so why not be born again and again and have a new wife. Atleast something good should happen.

It would depend on the lifestyle I guess, I'm not interested in the vampire thing but if I could live forever and keep a good quality of life I would go for it for sure. Nobody really wants to grow old and die, we just don't know how to stop it from happening.

I dont know its such a hard choice.. you can live a compromised life, where you live forever but under many boundaries and limits, or live a shorter life with less boundaries and limits.
Personally i love writing about vampires and the history of where the legends of vampyrism came from.
I would probably do it, if i had the chance to become immortal as long as i had my kids with me :p (so selfish but cant live any sort of life without them)
I dont know wher ei would live, you could probably live anywhere, but would probably have to keep moving .. once the locals got rough. Dont know if i could kill humans, maybe pedophiles. (but then again i dont consider them too human).. Id probably live near a blood bank if that was the only source of food i was allowed to have. but there are so many things you could be, being immortal doesnt neccesarily mean your a vampire..
Cool question .. :)

Well it seems that No is the answer thus far...however I might entertain the notion if I was well off...that could enable me to live a decent life and throw money at the problems that would no doubt happen. You probably wouldn't be able to tell anyone and so have to move to prevent discovery. So no attachments would prove difficult. Would give you time to learn alot though!! So I guess it all depends....

Sure, why not? I would. I wouldn't kill humans but take what is offered by willing people. I would have liked to be one during history and being able to watch as history unfolded before you. That would be fun to watch.

Oh, there's no way I'd want to be immortal. Life is hard enough as it is. It'd be hell to have to go through it for eternity.

No, I wouldn't want to be immortal. I'd be so wrinkled and ugly I'd scare kids and small dogs, and I'd be so old it would take me an hour to walk across the street. Plus I'd have a really, really enlarged prostate, so I'd feel like I had to pee every 5 minutes.
