I guess I'll give the same answer if I'm asked this question, coz the question is "if you lost your wallet", that means it's missing, and you won't be able to see it on the floor too.
Oh,it is really very funny!I think if I were you at that time,I also will say "I will go to the police-station".In my opioion,lost my wallet means that I can not get it back.
