Not only have I considered it, it has been 8 years in the process, and I finally found a publisher, my books are a series of children's books with a different 'experience' to them. I have also been working on a novel for 3 years. It's not something that happens overnight, at least not for me! lol

Sure, I have often thought of writing a book. I have even gone so far as to write one. I don't think I am ready to get published yet. I have several stories but I think they need more details. It's ok for a rough draft and my nearest and dearest seems to like them.
:)
I do have a friend who has been published, but that is another story it took a lot of time and effort. A lot of rejection too, before finally their book was published. I know there are some publishing houses out there were it is possible to self publish, but that could be expensive.
I don't know if that would be worth it. Perhaps if one was just doing it for fun?

I have never thought of writing any book. It is too much pains taking and time consuming. I like to read books, I love. There is risk also of not being publishised properly. We may not receive response also from reader then our efforts will go in fruitless. Though someone has to take risk for this and many are success also. It needs hard working, patience also. We should have time from busy schedule. Free mind is required to think and pen down the thoughts. So writing a book is very risky business, time consuming, fear of failure is there etc.

Yes I have always thought of having a book myself but it's hard because I don't consider myself writing beautifully and it takes enormous amount of energy to write a book. With the amount of work I have right now I don't think it's possible. But I do like to do it someday, maybe when I am more experienced in life and am retire from work. I could just sit all day, day-dreaming, planning and writing. It would be so much fun just to do it even if it's not selling. *laughs*

And I would like to thank Vladilyich for encouraging me in my own writing. Because of my dear friend's encouragement and editing, I was able to publish a cookbook of Danish recipes, a tribute to my late Mormor (Danish for Mom's Mom) and to my sister who came up with the title "Tak For Mad", translated it means "Thank For The Food."
My cookbook is available here!

Yes, I really like writing. I would love to write a novel and a non-fiction book about travel. I have read discussions on My Lot about self publishing companies and think that these sound like a good idea. I know of a friend's dad that wrote and published a non-fiction about football. He distributed it to many local shops and they sold lots of copies of it.

I've just finished writing my book. I started it a few months ago, but am happy to say that it's finally finished. You can buy it on lulu.com. It's in the romance section titled: "Promises of Love: Short Stories From the Heart". It's a pretty good book from my perspective, but I would love to have other opinions about it.

I would love to write a book, I am working on one that is more personal than anything but for me to share it to the world would be great. It is about my grandparents love story, they met when my grandma was 13 my grandpa 19, they dated and got engaged when my grandma was almost 17. Only 1 month later the draft was in effect and my grandpa got sent away to military camps but they weren't worried the US wasn't in the War. Well 20 or so days later Pearl Harbor was bombed and World War II had began. Four years later my grandfather returned and they were married 7 days later. Now it has been 62+ years. Through letters, journals and many hours of questioning my grandparents I have been writing their experiences into a book for me and my family.
