I got a big shocked when I opened my e-gold account today. I still some balance yesterday but now it went 0$ balance. I looked through the payment history and It showed that I have made payment but I never made payment lately. It is really dissapointing. I cant believe someone actually stealing money from other people account! I try to contact them but it seems that I cannot use the e-gold contact form. What should I do? Do you think it is advisable to use my e-gold account or create a new one? Please advise.

thats a new situation in accessing e-gold site from yesterday.
that means, someone has used your ip for certain spam purpose, and the ip address is blacklisted.
Blacklist Status: Currently Listed (history)
try to clean your cookies, and change another IP to access e-gold site.

I'm sorry but you can do nothing!
You have lost money-stop!
Now you need to do these things if you need to maintain an e-gold account:
1- scan your pc for viruses, malware, spyware
2- delete all cookies, internet temp files (best should be a total reboot of your pc!).
3- join a new account but never use your keyboard. Use only the e-gold virtual keyboard (SRK) ALWAYS!
4- always use "https" and not "http". be sure if you type "https://www.e-gold.com" you will be directed really there... see below the browser at the left the real address. If not the same close immediately the browser and re-scan pc!
5- if when you enter in your account you see something strange, instantly "logoff" and don't re-login shortly. Re scan your pc again!
6- every 5-6 months change your pawssword
7- using these you shoulde be have your account safe.
feel free to aske me more if you need...
good luck!

Thank you for your tips. I will follow them but the thing is do I really need to create a new account? If I change my passphrase, will my account safe? It puzzle me because I have scan and scan my computer but still it shows my computer is clean! Each time I close my browser, I will clear everything. Can you recommend a good anti-spyware or anti virus software?

I really think that u first really need to get in touch with e-gold so that they might help you and try to solve this. This is something that happens to alot of people and personally I think that paypal is more safe and they also have better protection. I definately suggest that u get another account, have they hacked in once, they can do it again...
Was it alot of money they took?

That is what I am been fearing about using e-gold. I think admin of e-gold site would really make some measures inorder to safeguard our accounts. I would think that you should really contact them by making other accounts then explain the details about what happen to your accounts so they could act about it.I do hope that it won't continue and I do hope you could recoever back your money.

I think we are on the same boat, although my case is a little different. I am so disappointed yesterday and today because I couldn't access my e-gold account. My IP address has been blocked and I tried to delist it by following their instructions but to no avail. I just couldn't understand why it happened. I had just withdrawn a few dollars from one of the sites I'm into and now I couldn't access e-gold. I am very frustrated.
