which is the most precious of all precious metals?

Hey Mylotians, which do you consider to be the most precious of all metals? My brother was arguing with me recently and I told him that Gold was the most sought after metal of all time, but he said an emarold was very precous, what do you say?

Emerald is not a metal though! It's a green gem stone. Platinum is the most precious of metals, if you're going by cost/weight.
