is it still guys job to pay in relationship?

for years,women took it for granted that men should pay for everything when they hang out.but has this attitude changed a bit as women's social position is improving a lot?do you ladies offer to take half of the bill or pay for all sometimes when you go out with your men?my bf and i have been together for about a year.during the dating period we still went dutch often but now it seems that he always pays for eveything.i dont know if its a custom for guys to pay for their gfs in england,or its just because he knows chinese guys do so then he follows our custom.or do you think i should offer to pay sometimes in return?
i've heard that no matter how successful women can be,they still expect guys to pay for the dine-out.it has nothing to do with money,but just like the feeling of being taken care of.so is it right to you?

Me and my guy have been dating for about 4 or 5 months now. He generally buys dinner on Friday nights and then we usually split the bill on Saturday nights and at times we will both pitch in on the tip. I like paying for dinner at times or least half. It makes me feel that we are equals and share the same responsibilities of the relationship. Some may think it is odd or strange but the times are changing. I too like to feel like I am being taken care off by my man but I feel he takes care of me in other ways by giving the affection and attention that I need as a woman.

I think it is more custom for the guy to pay for everything but now sometimes girls want to pay for their half if no more. I know with me my husband payed for everything but it really bugged me sometimes since he was spending so much money on me so I offered to pay for my half. He always refused but there are some guy that will let the girl pay for their half. Now that we're married he still does it but I pay for my stuff sometimes and it drives him crazy.

I am married now so it doesn't matter anymore LOL But when I was dating I would offer to pay on occassion cause I felt bad the guy was treating me all the time. Sometimes it would get to the point where I pretended to go to the bathroom and I would pay for the bill cause the guy would never let me
