Do you click ads on websites?

I am willing to bet a dime that most people surf the net when they come online. After some emailing or myLot, chances are that you will check out some of your favorite websites or read the news online.
It has become increasingly rare to see websites that do not have any ads. Typically, we see advertisements by a host of companies, the most prominent of which is Google Adsense. These ads are practically everywhere. Take myLot for instance, we have the Yahoo/eBay ads. My question is, do you click on the ads you see? I am not only talking about myLot's ads - in fact, I want to talk more about ads on other websites that you surf.
I used to avoid them like the plague - every Adsense ad smelled like scam to me. But recently, after I set up my own blogs and got an Adsense account, the whole idea of ads suddenly took an about turn. Instead of scams, I see them as a way I can help the site owners make some money. You might ask why I would want to do such a thing. There is one obvious reason - if I find the site interesting, then I *have benefited* from it. By clicking on the ads there, I get to reward them with money that is not my own. Isn't this brilliant? I don't pay a cent, yet with just a few clicks of my mouse, the site owners are better off financially.
Beyond this, I sometimes find myself going on a clicking spree too. Remember my earlier discussions on anonymous kindness and giving people money when I am rich? Well, I think this is close. I call it "Clicking to spread the love". Imagine someone logging on to his Adsense account one day to be pleasantly surprised by a jump in his earnings? I think this is no different from someone receiving a sudden windfall. Isn't it a joy to make another person happy?
Do share your views, my friends. Do you click ads on websites you visit? Yes, no, why? And after reading what I've said, does it change your mind a wee bit?

Definitely not. You don't need to pay a cent. If you do, they will bring you to a screen for you to enter your credit card information. Just don't enter and move away. You won't need to pay a cent.

I don't, I am so inunidated with spam mail that I am to the point of being scared to give out my email address or to be redirected to any website, I would rather go there on my own accord and not be directed by anyone that could possibly follow my surfing on the net.
