I am planning to go to Filippines, Bangkok and Cambodja for almost 3 weeks, a year after our wedding we have been able to save up. This is going to be the trip of our dreams and we probably will never have time or money enough to do one of these trips. Once you get trips you wont be able to take long trips again. Where did you go on your honey moon, was it your dream trip? Where would you go for the trip of your dreams?

We went to Cancun, Mexico for 11 days back in 1989 when it was less threatened by poverty, natural disasters, and economic turbulence. The tourist sites were furthest from rural average poverty-stricken desert living but you could still sense an imbalance despite the 5-star hotels and fantastic eateries. The location is rich in history and archeaological fascination, my main reason for going. We had fun, long since divorced since then, but look back on this one with smiles.

We didn't have a honeymoon. We were living in Samoa at the time and had our wedding in New Zealand where all our family was and then after two weeks of being there, we returned to Samoa and just spent a weekend at a nice resort. It was beautiful though :)

Congratulations on the delayed honeymoon. I'm sure wherever you go it will be truly special. My husband and I went to Mt. Crested Butte, Colorado, on our honeymoon for a week snow skiing. It was like a fairy tale for me. Everything was just so perfect. Why are you choosing those locations? Do they have a special meaning or something? Just curious.
