When i was a kid i LOVES the Little Golden Books with all the different stories, Winnie the Pooh, Sweet Valley High & The BabySitter's Club.
My daughter is a little young yet but i still have all my books so when she's old enough, i hope she'll enjoy them all as much as i used to!
I also used to get in to the Goosebumps collection but i don't think i actually own any of them, i just used to borrow them from the library at school so if she wants to read them i can get them for her or she can borrow them from the library too!

I really love books and reading and I've been reading since I was quite young. I read anything and everything that I could get my hands on when I was growing up. Fortunately my mother would drop me off at the library where I could get the books that I craved and just had to have to read. My favorite series were The Black Stallion by Walter Farley, Alfred Hitchcock and The Three Investigators by various authors, Trixie Belden by Kathryn Kenny, Nancy Drew by Carolyn Keene, Hardy Boys by Franklin Dixon, Bobbsey Twins by Laura Lee Hope, Bret King by Dan Scott and any book that had horses in it! I didn't care if the books were "supposed" to be for boys or girls. I read them all and loved them! In fact, I still love them and I do collect them now though I have had to cut down on that due to space limitations! LOL, books take up a lot of room.

I liked Curious George and so does my son who is now 22. I also like Dr. Suess and Winnie the Pooh which my daughter still likes and she is 27. But she collects childrens books and is earning a degree in early childhood education.

When I was a child, my favorite book series was the Ramona Quimby series by Beverly Cleary. Now as an adult, I have loved the Harry Potter Series, The Series of Unfortunate Events books, and we also love the Junie B. Jones series (not just for my younger boys, but I catch my older boys listening in when I read out loud.

Now I love the Shadow Children and, of course, Harry Potter. When I was a real kid I loved both Ramona and Fudge!

Right now my oldest son (who will be 8 in a month) likes Captain Underpants books. Apparently they've been around for a few years but I had just heard of them recently and got him some. They are...interesting... lol Definately appeals to boys.
When I was growing up, I read anything I could get my hands on almost. But I remember really like The Babysitters Club books by Ann M. Martin. I don't see any of my boys wanting to read those though... :)

I was addicted to the Trixie Belden series. I have most of them in hardback stored around here somewhere, still. I got a few after they started releasing them in paperback, too.
I also really liked the Three Investigators and the Bobbsey Twins.
More recent, I love the Harry Potter series. I am among the ones counting the days until July 21 (or midnight on the 20th, however you wanna say it!!) My stepson got me hooked on these, and now I have read them more times than he has.
I read alot of Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys, but they just weren't as good as the Trixie Belden's to me

I have an eight year old granddaughter that is crazy about Junie B. Jones books. She loves them. She reads them all the time and has read several over and over again. They are very cute books.

Well my kids and I have a few that we enjoy reading together. Harry Potter, Dr. Suess, Junie B. Jones, Amelia Bedelia, and Goosebumps. They also like to read a lot of riddle books, but I don't think those would constitute a series.
