Why don't Muslims talk to me?

April 24, 2007 6:08pm CST
I am going to ask any Muslims out there to talk to me, I saved a Muslim child today from being run over, the mother grabbed the child from me and stormed off, she said nothing to me or the kid, so what you might think! in the area where I live there are a lot of Muslims, I smile and no one smiles back, I say it's a nice day and I get blank stares, can anyone answer me without taking offence!

I am a Muslim and I have no idea why Muslims at your area behave like that. That is very shameful of them. I know that in some parts of the world Muslims tend to be that way but here in Malaysia, a multi racial and multi religious country, we smile, talk, work with each other regardless of our religion. I hope you do not take that experience and think that all Muslims behave like that.

It could be a fear thing for them. If they smile back prehaps sometimes ppl have taken it to be something sinister & therfore they don't do it anymore. As for her at least not thanking you, that seems just rude. If you had saved my child from being run over I would have taken you out to lunch at the very least.
