lipstick and cancer

I'd received an email about "lipstick and cancer".The email said that some lipstick contains lead that can cause cancer.Those lipstick that are supposed to stay longer, are higher lead content. The email also indicates the basic on how to test the lipstick lead content.... Put some lipstick on your hand..then use a gold ( say a ring) to scratch on the lipstick. If the lipstick color changes to black, then the lipstick contain lead...This emails says that a number a well known brands of lipstik contain lead. However, today i received an email that says that the email i had before on the "lipstick and cancer" is a hoax email. I don't know which one is the truth but i did test several lipstick i have and some does turned to black and some don't... what do you think?
