you found that there is something wrong with the clothes that you are wearing?
I was subjected into this situation once. I was out with my friends at the mall. When all of a sudden I felt this kind of itchy and uncomfortable feeling at my back. I had my friends take a look at it and they found nothing. I was forced to buy a new dress. I had to change into something which will make me feel better. How about you? What do you think will be the best thing to do when a situation like this comes up?

The roomie & I took her nephew to the mall with his, then girl friend for a pix. On the way into the mall she fell (well, she has no depth perception.) Was it a nice dry day?? NOOOOOOOO. We had to go the the fat clothes shop & get her something clean & dry to wear.

there was no other choice then. going back home is not going to be a wise move at times like this. losing time can mean losing the interest to pursue the reason for going to the mall.

that is the right thing to do if the house is not that far and traffic is something which is not an issue at the time. yes, i'd say that it will be a good idea to pursue this than buying cheapy clothes with the money at hand.

I always double check before i leave my house to go out, my dress, my cloth, my make up.
But if i in that condition maybe i will buy a new one and wear it.
One day when i went out with my brother, my sandals is broken. So i buy a new one, because is very dangerous to walk without sandal or shoe.
but that experience make me laugh until now

let us be thankful that there is a store nearby where we can buy a replacement when something like this happens to us. it is also wise to bring extra money for emergencies when we go out.

just confirm with your friends about it and be serious..
i think you should ask your friends to take a look..
but actually i think that you should change your clothes.

i considered it necessary to change my clothes immediately. there might be something which can cause allergies and that will be more expensive to effect a cure than buying a cheap dress to wear.

yes, it can be done. just excuse yourself from those friends. we can see each other again the following day. we go to work on a daily basis anyway.

Usually I will just continue to wear it if it is just a comfort thing. I have had times where I spilled something on my outfit right before a big meeting and had to run out and buy something quickly so that I would look good at the meeting. I then learned at work to keep an extra outfit and jacket in the closet so I could avoid that situation. Always best to be prepared!!

this is a good tip that you are sharing with me, triciaw. it never occurred to me until now, that it is advantageous to bring a spare clothing for emergencies.

I think I would do the same as you. If somehow you just know that the problem is with your clothes, then change it. Of course if you don't need the extra dress or don't want to spend the money, that is going to be one big ouch. :/

it is true that it was one big ouch at the moment to buy a new dress. it just so happened that, it was the only sensible thing to be doing by then.

Yes I have experienced it before during my college years. We had our scheduled out of town with the whole group of friends. Then all of a sudden at our meeting place they have dress up in a very formal attire.Upon knowing that we will be attending one of our friend's uncle's wedding then I I just went home immediately and change my attire hurriedly.

oh, it is a good thing that you were reminded about the important occasion before reaching the venue.

This may sound odd, but when I go out I usually have spare clothes with me. I have been caught but the broken zipper, the lost button, the split seam and the spill factor, so with extra clothes a quick trip to the ladies room is usually all I need. After bringing up my children it became second nature for me to be the good girl scout by always being prepared. I tried buying new things once and found that I am very uncomfortable in new clothes until they have been washed once....:}

although i find new clothes uncomfortable to wear, at that moment i had to do it. i like the girl scout idea, though. being prepared at all times. after all, if we go out with small children, we always make it a point to bring a complete set of extra clothes for them and some cleaning stuff, too.

i always check myself specially the clothes i wear before going out. but if something happened to the clothes like having been stained with mud (like what happens during rainy season)i have to go back home no matter what. if i have an appointment by then i would just call up and would be delayed in meeting them and explain later what happened.
one incident that i can't forget is when the zipper of my pants got stuck after discharging in a public toilet, and because i was wearing a polo shirt that time, i just made myself comfortable by loosening the polo enough to cover my lower part. i just walked straight ahead to my destination not minding what happened.
disasters like these happened anywhere anytime. if we can bring extra dress with us the better.

yes, it will be a good idea to bring a spare dress at all times. but i doubt it if men will take kindly to something about having to bring some extra clothing if, they don't have a car to back them up. no, men do not want to be bringing anything when going out.

yeah, because it will hurt the budget. no one will find it a nice idea to buy clothes when there is no plan for it.

Before i leave home i always make you i feel comfortable and confident with the way i look. you can also can assurance for your friends to make sure. But even then it does not matter what you wear. just look confident and no-one will notice. easier said than done but yes it is always better to check so the situation never actually occurs.

i am not the fashion conscious type. i go for comfort whenever i get dressed. there are just times when weird experiences happen when we go out with friends or the family. too bad that, this will also need weird solutions, though.

i never encountered such a feeling as i always wore clean dress when i go out with my friends. but when your friends after looking found nothing peculiar on the back, i wonder what forced to buy new clothes. the best should have been to go to the changing room, undress and check yourself whats the matter.

yes, totalearnings, i did that before buying new clothing. i had to because, i had to buy a cheap one since i had no budget for new clothes then. buying a new dress at that time was out of my mind.

I might do the same as you did. I don't like being felt uncomfotable anywhere, so I won't mind buying a new dress. Surely, I'll want to have fun with my friends. I won't keep on scratching my back and let my friends enjoy everything. :P

Thankfully, I haven't experienced something like that before.
But if I did, my first choice would be to quicly buy another set of clothes if I were at a shopping mall or some shops. Otherwise, I'd try to borrow a set of clothes from my friends.
If all else fails, I'd probably just go home if I am simply too unfortable.

yes, it is the easiest way to deal with it. especially when home is still quite some distance away.

yes, when some itchy feeling like that takes place, being home is foremost in my mind, too. it is where it is most comfortable to get rid of the itchiness fast and quick.

i already experienced this one, i have two pairs of birkenstock sandals at home and they are scattered everywhere, there's this incident when my friends fetch me at our house, i wasnt that prepared yet when they arrived and kept on knocking at my room so get my bag, put slippers on, then left, when we were at the resto, i took off my sandals and indian sit. few minutes later, my friend ask me if i could accompany her at the counter, when im about to take on my sandals, we both looked down then stared at each other. and of course i freaked out. the sandals i wore were different, one is blue and one is pink. we had no choice because its expensive if we'll buy another pair, so we just didnt mind it. and everytime we go out together, they make sure that im wearing the right pair.
