when you are in the middle of something urgent and the phone rings. You picked up and the caller starts to talk dirty words with you. Would you waste your time getting angry with the caller or will you just hang up? Would you report it? Why do you think there is such caller? What would you do if the caller keeps on calling you?

Usually I just ignore the words and put down my phone. Then I continue my own work.

Lots of sickos in the world obviously with nothing better to do. I wouldn't react, because lets face it, they are the ones needing to be entertained. Firstly I'd let the police know that you have been receiving these calls just so the police know what's going on. Secondly, don't give them the satisfaction of giving them a reaction. Thirdly, I'd wrap a tea towel around the microphone part of the phone and leave it hanging on the table and go about your normal duties. That way they are paying for a call, they are not being listened to, you can get on with your day. I bet they will have hung up in 5 minutes anyway.
Often it's teenage kids seeing what they can get away with. No need to get angry, just get smarter.
