Do you approve all friend requests?

I'm a softie. I approve everyone. There has been one exception, though, and that was an obvious scammer who was simply copying news stories, verbatim, and using them to start discussions.

For me i just take a look at their profile, and see what kind an quality posts they have. First off, unless the person has started discussions with a good number of responses i wont accept any friends that have less then 150 posts here in mylot. Because those over 150 are the ones that tend to stay active, and others withdraw sooner! Apart from that, i look at their responses, ratings, comments(if any), and overall. And yeah, also the language as you said. Makes no sense to approve a friend whose language you dont know! :)

I also check out their profile first, using pretty much the criteria that you use.

i definitely approve everyone who sends a friend request. for those whom i'm familiar with, i don't have to check their profile. this is because i may have either responded to one of their discussions and they may have responded in one of mine. for those who i am not familiar with, i check their profiles, their country, length of stay in mylot and discussions they have started. i check if there's anything interesting i could respond to on their discussions also. since english is not my first language, i don't mind if the requests came from those who are just learning to be better in english. or newbies perhaps. coz i do understand their plight. i was a newbie when i started here in mylot. i know how difficult it is if nobody becomes your friend while you are just starting. i was fortunate with the first set of friends i made in mylot, coz that helped a lot. and the rest of the friends i made later, helped in making my mylot participation going. :)

I look at everyone's profile just to see if we have similar interests and try to make sure that the discussions they start are interesting to me. I also have to somewhat understand them to approve them as a friend...after all, what good is it if the responses to each other are meaningless to the other person?

As a new member of mylot,usually i take a look at someone's profile.i would like to make friend most people.if anyone come here in mylot,he/she just want earn some money through posting easy responds.i won't approve the request.

When i get friends request i first check their profile and then approve the friends requests most of time unless i don't like something in their profile which is rare. LOL. I like to have friends discussions that have discussions that i could relate to and hopefully they are active on mylot. And not making friends just to gain referrals.

yea i look at their profile first but ive havent denied nobody so far. i had seen good interested about the friends who request me to be their friends and so i approve them.

No, I don't. I read their profile and check out their discussions and responses. If they don't seem like someone I would like in reality; I don't add them.

I check everything in their account first starting from the profile and their dicussions before i approve the invite

I usually approve people want to be my friends..... and Ido take a look at their prfoile to see what discussions they have started - see if anything looks interesting and I always check out where they come from! Its quite interesting to see where everyone come from on mylot. :0)

it matters if i know the person then i accept it but if i dun know then naturally i deny the request........b'coz the person can be anyone ... may be your rival...or a spy .... so 1 should be careful abt. this...

Well, so far I approved all of them. some topics are interesting and it's just too nice to have some friends.

Yes i do approve all ma friends request at least we can make a lot of friends online and we can also learn from them if we have to. I think nothing goes also if we accept them as friends or somehting. I accept all the requests.

I think you are doing right, people should check the profile of people before you approve your friends. In fact,I have never checked their profile and just approve anybody who requests to be my friend. I want to, but I dont have time, its too time-consuming, I dont even have enough time to answer the threads which I am interested in. I am sorry for those really want to be my friends. have a good day.

When i recieve a friend request ,i use to check out their profile ,i will look at how many they have got.I will also take a look at how thier discussions are and what kind of discissions they are replying to .If they are posting some good discussions that i can answer i adds them.I will also check if they responding to discussions like the discussions of my interest.I also check out their language .I usually add even if their language because iam not one knowing english well.

I've had my lessons with approving friends request.I just cant understand why they add me to their friends list when they don't want to answer any of my threads. Even worse, they add me and after a few weeks they just disappear leaving mylot.I'm sick of all this and i guess all this happens only to me.And many just keep adding new friends just to expand the friends list. So these days I'm very choosy in accepting requests.I run their profile,check their threads and responses to see if they would do fine.I approve them if i find them clean.

Yeah I do. I dont care on this site. I try to care on myspace.com but here? Who cares! I wouldnt have that many people if I didnt approve. Try me. Add me. I'd add you back NO matter what!

Yes I approve all friend requests, so when I first log on in mylot I look my add friends posting and comment it. Best regards
