Is there a way to lighten up stretch marks from giving birth? or even get rid of it? why does some mother doesnt have them and some have? is it really caused by scratching your belly while your pregnat? I have stretchmarks and they are visible...can anybody suggest any formula or cream to lighten it or even get rid of it?

I don't know of anything that will cause them to fade except time & patience. Stay out of the sun or use a sunblock to keep them from becoming more pronounced. But also try to learn to accept them. Stretch marks should be seen as badges of honor :)

No, it's not caused by scratching your belly - i don't remember scratching my belly at all! It's due to your belly being stretched well beyond it's capacity. My Mum bought me a stretch mark cream which is to lighten the marks & help them go away - the brand is Palmers & it's a cocoa butter formula designed especially to get rid of the marks. Hopefully you have it there or at least something with cocoa butter in it. They are like scars though, they will gradually lighten over time anyway!

i've tried loads of things also just to reduce or lighten my stretch marks, i guess the only answer for stretch marks is operation called tummy tuck, i've seen the procedure of it on tv and its realy good but sad to say its an expensive procedure! I guess we have to live our life with stretch marks lol

I've heard Strivicten http://www.strivectin.com/index.html works but it's so expensive. It's not caused by scratching your belly, it's genetic. Chances are that your mother has them too. They do fade and lighten over time.
