Use of credit cards

Do credit cards really help us or not? When we pay our bills using our credit cards, surely we are able to pay our bills on time. But do we not then use our available cash to pay for other things less important than our bills? Does the credit card not encourage us to spend beyond our means? And then the credit card companies make us suffer by the high interest rate they impose and the hard collection method they use afterwards? Are credit cards then a blessing or a curse?

if we know n' can use properly, credit cards can be very useful, because if don't have money yet, n we need some stuff we just use credit card to buy it, but if we do not carefull when using it, we will face problem like unpayable bills..so if we can use it wisely, credit card is a blessing tools for us

Yes, you are right. But of course you must also not allow the credit to grow too much. Better still, pay the entire amount wnen it's time to pay. Otherwise there will come a time when you will have to pay the high interest rate.

At first I was so excited when I got my first credit card. I thought it can help me. But now I have 3 credit cards and all of them are almost full. My salary or cash are intended for credit card payment. Now I'm hook to this kind of transaction. I must continue to pay for my credit card and since I don't have my cash anymore, I have to use my credit card. Plus they have high interest. So I can say it is not a blessing.

Actually I hate carrying too much cash with me, just for the places that do not accept credit cards. What I do is to have the money for the purchase in the bank and just transfer it when I get home with the bill. I always make sure that I do have enough. I am getting points on one of my credit cards and dividends on the other. I also make sure if I really need it. I find it does not encourage one to be a spendthrift if you think of a credit card as a check or a debit card. It also depends on whether your utilities accept payment by credit card, some of them do not and in some cases they add a charge on for credit card payers. In that case, I would go to the place and pay cash or drop a check in the slot. But you have to record the transaction as soon as you get home else you will be shot when you see the credit card statement.

I think that credit cards are useful if you don't abuse them and get into a lot of debt. If you are careful with them, they are really great because they'll help you build up good credit, which is really good to have.

Good credit is really important. If you have a good credit standing with the credit card company you will offer you more cards!

its really a matter of self-control and discipline. If you are the type who simply must have every shoes, bags etc. that caught your fancy in the mall, don't bring your credit card along or else you will soon find yourself burried in debts.
