I have an 8 GB iPod Touch, and right now I have around 215 songs on it, but it could hold a lot more if I cleared up some space for music. You see, I use a lot of the other memory for apps primarily. After all, that is one of the good strong points of the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad -- all the apps that you can get (many of which are even free!)

i have 512MB and i could only store 100 songs coz i didn't compressed it coz i have a loudspeaker built-in... i don't want to ruin the quality... =)
